About Prayer Team The prayer team is made up of fourteen men and women who pray specifically for the campus of Clemson, the body of FCA, FCA's leadership and servant teams, and for the Lord's glory to be exemplified in every possible way on this campus, in this city, and in every part of the world. This is a team that is built on Biblical foundations; we long to encourage and build eachother up and our goal is to "devote ourselves to prayer and to the ministry of the word" based off of Acts 6:4.
Because we desire to pray specifically for the body of FCA, several of us stand at the entrance of FCA every week and pass out prayer request cards so that we can find out any specific needs you may have in your life. This team has made a PROMISE to this body to pray over its needs continuously. We TRULY want to know what is going on in each and every FCA-goer's life. If you have not made it to FCA in a while or are not involved in FCA at all, but would still appreciate prayer, please e-mail email@clemsonfca.org or amberstandridge@gmail.com.
Your needs will not be taken lightly; they will be lifted up to our Father. There is not a request that is too small or too big. The book of Jude verses 20-21 says - "But you, dear friends, must build each other up in your most holy faith, pray in the power of the Holy Spirit, and await the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ, who will bring you eternal life. In this way, you will keep yourselves safe in God's love."
Because of this verse, we also desire to pray with you and get to know each of you better. If you would liked to be prayed over in person or would like to pray with other believers then please join us in the TurnLeft room on Thursday evenings at 8:15, approximately one hour before our worship service starts at 9:19. When you walk into Tillman walk past the main entrance of the auditorium and turn left into the following hallway, and on the right you will find the TurnLeft room with at least three of us waiting to pray with you. This gives everyone a chance to pray for how the Lord is going to move over the course of the night and in each of our lives. You can also pray for the speaker, the body of FCA, unbelievers, and anything else that has been laid on your heart. You do not have to stay the whole time, you can stay for as short or as long as you would like, but the room is available to you at any point doing that time period. You may also go to TurnLeft after the service if you want to receive prayer or want to pray with fellow believers after the service. We desire to meet you, pray with you, and intercede with you. We would love for you to come and join us.
Luke 10:12 says- One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. Over and over in the Gospels we see Jesus breaking away from the crowd and praying to his Father. If you have a hard time finding somewhere to get alone with the Lord or meditating in his word, then please come to The Prayer Room, which is available to everyone. If you would like directions, please e-mail amberstandridge@gmail.com. The Prayer Room was built to give us a serene and pleasant atmosphere to be alone with our Father in the midst of the hustle and bustle in our everyday lives. Many people have a hard time knowing where to start when they pray and that’s okay! There are guidelines available that teach how to pray and meditate. You may look at them when you enter the room to enhance your experience and they are also available for you to take so you can use them in your everyday quiet time. Along with these instructions, there are also books that teach about prayer, other Christian literature, and Bibles.
