Thursday Nights
This team will assist in the technical aspects of the services. Opportunities include sound, lighting, and video operation. Also included in this team are people responsible for setup and break down. This team is time consuming on Thursday Nights and requires the participation in both services. We have a huge need to be connected with the speaker for the up coming week. We need a small group of people who will serve as a communicator between the production team and the speaker. This team must be dependable and must be able to serve in many different ways.
Mission Trip
The missions team works together to plan a foreign mission trip over Christmas break and an in-country trip over spring break. We constantly seek the Lord to find out His vision for these trips and what ways we can serve and glorify Him best. Our team puts in many hours of planning and preparation for both of these trips, but we understand that we serves no purpose if it is not done to glorify our Creator. The Bible calls us to "go and make disciples of all nations" (Matthew 28:19), and this is the goal that we are running towards with these two mission trips!
Communications
This team is responsible for communicating from leadership to the masses. This team creates flyers and advertises FCA to campus. They create videos that are shown on Thursday nights. They are responsible for all aspects of the website. This team also creates the weekly e-mail sent to all students. Skills used in this team include (But not at all limited to): Graphic design, Web-Design, computer programing, Video production, Creative Writing etc.
Events
The vison for events is to both outreach to our campus an facilitate community within the body. Our aim is to tear down the walls of seperation and to establish genuine relationships
Small Groups
Small groups, we believe, are the active hands and feet of the FCA community on campus. They present an opportunity to get involved with intimate biblical community, where you can be vulnerable with each other. Through close relationships with each other, an even deeper relationship with God is nurtured and we are able to learn things about our own spiritual walks, as well as encourage and challenge each other for the sake of growth. Throughout the year, several opportunities to serve are presented for the small groups to take advantage of, as serving together also enhances biblical community. Small group leaders are encouraged to be creative in how they go about creating community within the group, and have "watchmen" (members of the small group servant team) who are there to encourage and challenge them in their roles as well. The role of a small group leader is to focus on establishing solid relationships within their group, and to go beyond a simple meeting once a week, pushing for biblical community where spiritual growth and accountability occur (this can be applied many different ways). The role of a watchman is solely to build relationships with the leaders they are responsible for, and to provide advice, encouragement, resources, and direction if needed to leaders who need it, and to ensure that growth is occurring within their groups.
Prayer and Encouragment
Prayer & Encouragement is a special part of this ministry that devotes itself to interceding and praying for the body of FCA. The prayer team does this in several ways; one of those ways is through the TurnLeft room, This room allows several members of the team to pray for and with the body of FCA before 9:19 starts each week. Another way that the team intercedes for FCA is through notifications of prayer requests that are sent via the FCA website, Anyone can go to the p&e page and inform the team of prayer requests and any need that they may have. Also the p&e team has also created a prayer room that provides the body with a place of solitude and an atmosphere of peace. In that room there are visuals & interactive activities that can enhance time spent with the Lord, as well as directives and informative materials on prayer. The p&e team has also created several events to reach out to the body, interact with them, and pray for them.
Campus Missions
Campus Missions is a group of believers responding to the call of Christ that we should serve others, and to serve them in love! We focus on serving our students, international students, faculty and staff, CAT bus drivers, local elementary schools, and more! We work towards expanding God's kingdom by stepping out and serving the Clemson campus weekly. There are lots of opportunities to reach out and love this campus; if you feel that God is calling you to serve, or that serving others is your strength, Campus Missions is for you!
Finances
The finance team is responsible for the fundraising efforts of the entire
ministrry. This will include tasks such as writing support letters, mailing
support letters, tracking incoming donations and thanking donors.
Finance team also must been track of expenses and prayerfully consider where
funds should be used. Financial knowledge is not a requirement, though
helpful. A willingnes to serve and organization are good characteristics to
have.
Athletic Leadership
Athletic Leadership
Athlete Ministry seeks to minister and witness to the
athletic department at Clemson. This includes athletes, coaches, trainers,
advisors, and all other staff within the department. A servant team of
athletes on the various varsity teams gets together weekly to challenge,
encourage, and hold one another accountable in our daily walks among our
teammates, coaches, and the athletic department in general. It is our
mission to build relationships with the people we come in contact with daily
in order to create an environment where Christ can be seen through us and
that we might be able to bring people closer to walking with Him.
